Fantasy Football Sell High Candidates

LestersLegends.com presents Fantasy Football Sell High Candidates.

We’re three games in (Baltimore and Houston – two games) and there have been some guys who have started the season off with a bang.  Their value well perhaps never be as high.  Here’s a look at five guys you should move before their fire fizzles out.

Aaron Rodgers – He’s the third highest scoring QB behind Rivers and Cutler.  However, if you take away the Detroit game, because everybody lights up Detroit, he’s averaging 234 passing yards and 0.5 TDs.  Of course he adds an average of 22.5 rushing yards and a TD.  If you can move him in a package that nets you Peyton Manning, I say go for it.

Michael Turner – He absolutely torched the Lions and the Chiefs.  Guess what?  Those teams SUCK.  His next five weeks include matchups with Carolina, Green Bay, Chicago, Philly, and a bye.  He has a couple decent games left against New Orlenas (two) and the Raiders, but if you’re looking to win the whole thing his matchup against Minnesota at the end isn’t desirable.  Imagine if you can get an Addai for him, who will actually be playing meaningful games at the end of the year based on Indy’s slow start.

Chris Chambers – If your trade target is looking at his numbers, they will be quite pleased (unless you are in a PPR League, which I don’t endorse by the way).  However, if you look past the 4 TDs you’ll see an alarming statistic.  He only has 6 receptions.  Sure, it’s nice he can take 66.7% of his receptions to the house, but I’m sure that trend isn’t going to continue.  If you can move him for a wideout that gets targeted more frequently, you’ll be a happier camper later.

Hines Ward – I am afraid that the Eagles exposed a major problem that will hinder Pittsburgh for the majority of the year.  Their Offensive Line was destroyed by Philly’s blitzing schemes.  If Big Ben is on his back or doesn’t have time to make his reads, Hines’ value will take a major hit.  Plus, I suspect Santonio Holmes will take on a bigger role in the Offense eventually.

Chicago Defense – The Bears Defense is one of the better units in the NFL, but I am a little concerned about them.  They only have five Sacks through three games.  Plus, their six takeaways aren’t that impressive.  They’ve been helped out by the TD and Safety they recorded.  THey have some good matchups coming up (Detroit twice, Atlanta, STL), but they also have to face Philly, Minnesota twice, Green Bay Twice, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.  Their playoff schedule of Jacksonville, New Orleans, and Green Bay could mean you can’t use them in any playoff game.  Let that be someone else’s problem and get some value for them.
