It’s been so long since I’ve been sitting in front of the computer during a wrestling event that this is hardly a relevant thought anymore and I’m sure someone or other has already mentioned. The last live show I saw was Smackdown from a couple weeks back when Jeff Hardy was talking to Triple H and he made that snide comment about “Maybe I don’t have the right FAMILY to succeed.” At first I thought “OOHHHH, SNAP.” Following that, I thought about how many levels it worked on. Not only did it goof on Triple H’s current situation, but it’s also a kind of funny dig on his original character. Jeff could have just as easily been goofing on Connecticut Blue Blood Hunter Hearst Helmsley.
That, naturally, led me to realize that Triple H’s original character was a rich, Connecticut snob and his career eventually led him to be a rich, Connecticut snob. Funny how life works out sometimes.

1) While I was gone, the Honk-o-Meter got to 6. Is it sad that I’m the most disappointed about missing those three promos?
2) I’m pretty sure The Miz’s “JTG’s momma got on the toilet and, when she got off, there he was. It’s a good thing she didn’t flush” might be the most racist thing I’ve ever heard on a wrestling program. I was actually kind of offended. I never get offended. That might actually be more offensive then just calling him the N-word.
3) I’m kind of surprised at how much this whole “take away Mysterios’s mask” angle got fast-tracked. He went from gone for months, to some weird dropped thing about being tortured by Kane, to in a mask match. I know I’m not up on my Lucha tradition, but shouldn’t Mysterio be forcing Kane to put something of value on the line? Like, I don’t know, retirement or something?
4) Random Update: Priceless’s music is still the worst music in wrestling. Yes, this includes TNA.
5) Random Update Number Two: Cade’s music is a close second. I’d think that beating Shawn Michaels in a match mandated at least a revisiting of Random Guitar Riff #842.
6) Everyone in the federation should be forced to watch a video of how JBL plowed through his promo. The WHAT-tards jumped on Adamle’s pausing, stilted delivery immediately. When Randy and JBL got to the ring, they immediately plowed into their dialog taking pauses at different intervals to throw the stupid douchebags off their game. Great work by them. Adamle and Dibiase both need lessons.
7) Better Implant Buster: Awesome Kong or Beth Phoenix? Discuss.
8) I think Haas should have saved CHL for the big finish. I don’t know if he’s beating that.
9) If there’s anyone watching raw who didn’t see this DX thing coming, I humbly request that you turn in your wrestling fan union card. The ONLY question was whether they were coming out in DX music or whether Hunter was coming out as himself. Since it was about time to sell a new T-shirt, the DX version was almost assured.
10) Chris Jericho early in the match caught the Triple H knee. That’s a firin! Also, I hope the rumors that this weekend is the end of this feud are just rumors. I mean, this HAS to end with a Hell in a Cell at Backlash, right? Please?
