90210 – Episode 1-6 Review

I am suddenly seeing a new trend of TV show do-overs. First, Knight Rider, then Beverly Hills 90210, and now I’m hearing stuff about Melrose Place and The Partridge Family(according to TV.com). A few months ago, I heard Hawaii Five-O and The Electric Company as well. What’s next? Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Actually that is a good idea but I’d rather not see it happen because well too much stuff to deal with seeing as how the chick that played the chief is worm food. Either get a new host or get Greg Lee back. Also would the current line up of Rockapella even do it? I’d rather see the old one on DVD). Well anyway on to tonight’s episode!!!

Oh and I hope you caught it because this could be the last time we see Brenda Walsh on 90210 (let alone Shannen Doherty on anything related to it)

Adriana is once again confronted about her little problem and her mother keeps denying that there is a problem and is facing expulsion if she doesn’t smarten up. In fact she thinks the only reason why Annie got the lead was because she’s the principal’s daughter (ok seriously kid it’s your own fault). Now just imagine what happens when she’s told that Annie is helping her with her homework assignment

Annie is getting rave reviews from her peers after the performance for “Spring Awakening” and she tells Ty to get lost when she sees him. We don’t see him again until the end of the episode

Naomi is still trying to get her parents back together so she arranges a dinner with her dad and his mistress and she attempts to break them up at the dinner by telling him that he still sleeps with his ex-wife. (This reminds me of that episode of Two and a Half Men last night). Oh and in a scene with her mother at the beginning of the episode, OMG Ryan Stiles called he wants his shoes back (this joke is for those that have seen Whose Line is it Anyway?) Also Ethan tries to warn her that the parent trap effect only works with twins (I have not seen the Parent Trap really but I know what it could be like).

Most of the episode revolved around a fashion show that Deb Wilson was helping out at. Silver was actually offered a modeling gig by some dude. I never really caught his name but she shoots him down.

Oh wait it gets even more interesting this may have been revealed 2 episodes ago but DYLAN IS THE FATHER OF KELLY’S LITTLE BOY!!!!! (I’m not slow I just wasn’t sure). In fact we find that out when Brenda gets a call from him. Dylan wants Kelly and Sammy to visit him at his Ranch (wherever he is). Don’t worry there is no Brenda-Dylan-Kelly thing in this episode. Brenda explains that Dylan got her e-mail through Brandon. But in fact to be sure there isn’t a repeat of what happend more than a decade ago she deletes his number from her cellphone (good move!!!!).

So on the day of the fashion show Brenda goes with Ryan to the event. She says that when she’s done in California she’ll probably go visit Brandon and his family (does this mean he’s finally found the right girl????). Interestingly enough, some agent chick saw Annie doing her performance and remembers seeing Adriana in a film at Sundance and she actually offers them both a readthrough date for a cheerleader slasher flick. Adriana thinks that she could forgive Annie now and she tells her the truth about what happend at the Roosevelt and is she pissed. Annie even tells Ryan and Brenda that Adriana is on drugs. So that dude that was trying to offer Silver the modeling gig is trying to convince her to reconsider. Silver shoots him down again. It looks like he’s about to touch her inappropriately and Dixon manages to punch the bloody hell out of him and it gets rough. Also Naomi’s parents catch on to what she was trying to do and her dad makes it pretty clear that they are not going to get back together (I’m surprised they didn’t ground her). Also Annie runs into Ty they make up but I think they’re just friends now.

The episode ends with Kelly and some suitcases. She has decided to see Dylan and she will be gone for two weeks (so I guess we shouldn’t expect her in next week’s episode). And Silver doesn’t want to stay with her dad so she convinces Kelly to let her stay at home alone.

Well that’s all I have to say for this week this is my longest review ever. I guess I had a lot to say. Next week Annie and Ethan will be doing a baby-think-it-over thing (I miss the Baby Borrowers already, yes I watched it ,I’m glad I did) and Adriana’s drug problem gets worse. In the preview I heard something about “She’s not breathing”! They’re not killing someone off already are they?
