WWE Can’t Act, May Get Cartoon

Vince McMahon’s latest mandate is that WWE superstars need to become better actors. He wants them to be able to match the standards of regular shows on the same TV networks, particularly when it comes to backstage vignettes. In addition to working with Michael Hayes and Christopher DeJosephs on the Smackdown creative team, Freddie Prinze Jr has been given the task of teaching acting skills to the wrestlers.

Former President of the WWF and now head of the Cartoon Network, Stu Snyder, has talked about reviving the 1980s idea of a cartoon based on wrestling superstars. He said that “WWE has great action stars and they are really targeted to our audience. There could be a marriage made in heaven in regards to an idea there.”
