Bye Week Alternatives – Week 6

LestersLegends.com presents Bye Week Alternatives for Week 6.

With Buffalo, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee on bye next week there are several outstanding players not available to your fantasy teams.  Let take a look at some attractive alternatives.

Quarterback
Big Ben is probably the only one you’re counting on, but Trent Edwards has been a popular pickup of late.  If you are relying on Kerry Collins or Damon Huard, you’ve got bigger problems than I can address.  The Miami-Houston game presents a couple of options.  Chad Pennington and either Sage Rosenfels or Matt Schaub should be decent plug-and-play guys.

Running Back
Marshawn Lynch, Larry Johnson, Willie Parker, Chris Johnson, and LenDale White are on bye.  Rookies Steve Slaton and Matt Forte should be able to produce against Miami and Atlanta respectivley.  Both Darren McFadden and Michael Bush should put up fantasy numbers vs. New Orleans.

Wide Receiver
You need to replace Lee Evans, Dwayne Bowe, Santonio Holmes, and Hines Ward.  Antwaan Randle El could turn in a decent performance against St. Louis.  Ted Ginn, Jr. could be a sneaky play vs. Houston.  The Giants’ Domenik Hixon could produce vs. Cleveland.

Tight End
You’ll have to find an alternative for Tony Gonzalez and Heath Miller.  I like Zach Miller to have another strong performance for Oakland against the Saints.
