GUNS N' ROSES STICKING IT TO NAYSAYERS, DR. PEPPER EXECS

Insider, Top Story

I’m still not going to believe it until the album’s physically on the store shelves, but all signs are now currently pointing to a Nov. 23 release for the fabled Guns N’ Roses album, Chinese Democracy. The special Sunday release of the album will be EXCLUSIVE to Best Buy, with it being available in other stores the following Tuesday.

The album’s tracks are already hitting media other than illegal file-sharing communities, as “Shackler’s Revenge” was featured in the Rock Star 2 video game, and “If the World” appears at the end of the new film Body of Lies, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

While I’ve been saying for quite a few years now that the album’s not really going to be released until 2050, and that your grandkids will love it, the head honchos at Dr. Pepper went a step further. In an interview with the New York Post this past April, execs for the soda giant said that if Chinese Democracy (which had probably just been pushed back again at the time of the interview) were to be released by the end of this year that they would give everyone in America a free can of Dr. Pepper.

Asked if they planned to hold up their end of the bargain, should the album not get pushed back sometime the next few weeks, a spokesperson for the company told reporters for The Saturday Swindle Sheet, in an EXCLUSIVE interview, “If the rumors are true, we’re putting the Dr Pepper on ice… DIET Dr. Pepper! Haha… suckers!!”
