WWE DotCom Delivery – Week of 10/18/2008

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, Webshows

Just when we thought that the feud between Cryme Tyme and Miz/Morrison was over, it pops back up. Not that I’m complaining. Hell, I urge everyone to vote for their match as the one that will take place on Cyber Sunday. They deserve it. On with this week’s Delivery.

The online week starts Monday with OMG Moment of the Week. It’s a rather dull edition this week as all it does is praise the ECW fanboyz and put them on a pedestal as the greatest wrestling fans ever. Please don’t get me started on those fanboyz because it won’t be pretty. Besides, I’m getting tired of this lazy attitude of taking old clips from DVD’s or 24/7 and presenting them as original content for the Dotcom. Just to show you how old this week’s clip is, Bubba Ray Dudley is interviewed in it, and so it must be at least three years old. And 30 seconds of the 2:30 shows were the opening theme. It’s like they’re not even trying to pretend like they care about this show, which is surprising considering Joey Styles is in charge. If WWE wants people to tune into the web shows, they must put up real original content, not rehashed old clips.

And after my ECW rant, it’s time for real web shows, starting with Word Up. The word of the week is WACKIFIED – something lame or idiotic in nature or just plain messed up. And I’m sure we all know where this is headed. Yes, it’s John Morrison starring in an ad for the new Calvin Klein cologne – AWKWARD. That left Shad and JTG speechless, and rightfully so. That’s the best Word Up I’ve seen so far.

The global economic crisis is opening Santino’s Casa as we learn that it’s taking its toll on Italy as well. Did you know poor guys in Italy now limit themselves to just one mistress? That’s unheard of. Fortunately JBL is in the casa to provide some financial advice (And energy supplements). Santino bids farewell this week with a word to pregnant ladies out there – Ladies, you don’t look fat. You are fat. Santino has spoken.

Time for Miz and Morrison to strike back at Cryme Tyme on The Dirt Sheet. But before addressing them, they take care of Hurricane Helms and offer him so new superhero names. He had it coming for weeks now but for some reason, he still pops up later and asks for more. They then move on to Cryme Tyme and Kelly Kelly. That girl sure gets around. Finally, they end with a tribute to Shawn Michaels, aka Captain High-Pants, the man with the permanent wedgie. I just wish that Miz and Morrison will actually get to step in the ring with guys like HBK or Triple H and get over for real. They deserve it.

And Josh Mathews closes the week with Weekly Top Five. Raw’s lumberjack match opens the list at number five, followed by the Undertake vs. Khali match at number four. ECW is back to number three this week, with Mark Henry’s attacks on Evan Bourne and Finlay. Jeff Hardy and Vladimir Kozlov went one on one and made it to number two and at the top of the countdown this week we have Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk with Batista as special guest referee.

Cyber Sunday is just one week away. I believe Cryme Tyme and Miz/Morrison have done more than enough to warrant your vote, so go ahead and pick them for the tag match on the PPV.
