Vince McMahon said after No Mercy that Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho had put on the best Ladder Match he had ever seen.
Brian Gerwitz has been rather defensive of the Johnny Knoxville segment on Raw last night. A number of other people in WWE had said it was awful, with the Los Angeles Times reporter Houston Mitchell saying “I’ve never seen a segment die live quite as bad as that Jackass segment did. And it seemed to go on forever.” Gerwitz claimed the critics did not understand good comedy.
Meanwhile, the Smackdown tapings had a Nitro-esque atmosphere to them last week as the script was not finalised until right before the show began. At times, Nitro actually began without having the finished script prepared.
Jeff Hardy was also late to the tapings and did not make it to the building until after the show began.
