News on R-Truth, Mark Henry & FCW

News

There are a number of people in WWE second-guessing R-Truth’s push. He was brought in with the intent to push him as a major superstar but now backstage politics may curb his advancement up the card.

Scott Armstrong is now the head referee on Smackdown. He replaces Mickey Henson, who has taken a medical leave of absence and is not expected back soon.

The recent talent evaluation camp at Florida Championship Wrestling resulted in WWE signing a model/bodybuilder type named Matt Walsh. Several wrestlers paid $1,000 each for the evaluation sessions observed by John Laurinaitis, who had promised that at least one wrestler without experience would be signed.

Tony Atlas was paired with Mark Henry to be a good influence on him whilst on the road. Henry often traveled alone in the past and fell into bad eating habits, which caused WWE some concern. Atlas is still in good shape in his early fifties, training regularly and eating healthily, so the idea is that he can help keep Henry’s weight and conditioning under control.
