Update on Ric Flair TV Show

News

Ric Flair and his family have just finished filming the pilot episode of his new reality TV show project. It focused on Ric being the Nature Boy out on the town and his son Reid training to become a pro-wrestler. His daughter Ashley and ex-wife Beth also appear in it, whilst Ric has creative control of the overall project. Pink Sneakers Productions beat out a number of other companies to land the rights to the show.

Reid Flair already has a number of significant offers from wrestling promoters. The idea is that Ric will act as his manager when he makes his debut and for the show they filmed footage of him teaching Reid in the ring. Don’t expect Ric to return to active wrestling anytime soon though. He turned down New Japan’s offer to face Masahiro Chono at the Tokyo Dome. New Japan said the deal fell through due to financial negotations but Ric had been conflicted about going back on his WrestleMania retirement all along.

Still, Ric drew over 3,000 fans to an appearance on 25 October at the grand opening of a Shrewls Furniture store in Roanoke. Although he was booked for 2 hours he wound up staying for 5 due to the size of the crowd. Now Shrewls want him to do 10 more appearances and TV commercials for them.
