WWE DotCom Delivery – Week of 11/08/2008

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, Webshows

The biggest news this week – I’M GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA! Six and a half years after attending my last WWE show, which was Survivor Series 2002 from Madison Square Garden, I’ll be at the Reliant Stadium in Houston for Wrestlemania 25. To quote the hosts of the best show on the DotCom – Be jealous.

The other news – I’ve given up on ECW OMG Moment of the Week. It’s obvious that the DotCom people (headed by Joe Styles!) don’t care anymore and they’re just rehashing stuff from DVD’s and 24/7. If it’s not an original DotCom show, it has no place in the DotCom Delivery.

We have a special Word Up this week, as we are treated to the “original” pilot of that show. The big difference between the “pilot” and the real show? They started the pilot with hey hey hey hey while today they use yo yo yo yo. They also use outdated references and Matt Striker has a role there. I wish they’d have the guts to put on the real pilot and not this cooked up thing (In case it’s not clear – that was not the real pilot).

Santino Marella is wearing a Survivor Series t-shirt on Santino’s Casa this week. Santino wastes no time in taking down Joaquin Phoenix and his musical plans. Santino even compares him to Keanu Reaves – ouch! Santino also shows that he’s good, helpful man, when he offers to help Barack Obama with any problem he may encounter. Because that’s what the world needs, Santino in a more powerful position.

The Miz & John Morrison got over the unjustified loss to DX and are back in the Palace of Wisdom for The Dirt Sheet. After taking the time to put down Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, they show some highlights from RAW that prove that Miz/Morrison dominated DX and that they are the best tag team of the 21st Century. You tell’em!

And finally, Josh Mathews is back with this week’s Weekly top Five. DX vs. Miz/Morrison is at number 5 (Again, Miz/Morrison should have won!). Miz/Morrison also occupy the 4th place, this time with their victory from SmackDown on Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Finlay vs. Mark Heny is (of course) at number 3. We’re back to SmackDown with Vladimir Kozlov vs. Undertake at number 2 and this week’s number 1 is the cage match from RAW between Jericho and Batista. Can’t argue with that.
