Details on WWE Hirings & Firings

Super Crazy made the unexpected decision to quit WWE at the 11 November tapings. He was frustrated with the way he was being used and the numerous promises of a push that always failed to materialise. He told friends that he was happy with the money but not with the job. Now he is willing to waive his non-compete period of guaranteed money, whilst still guaranteeing not to go to TNA, in order to be able to wrestle to the best of his ability elsewhere. John Laurinaitis was unhappy with his complaints and asked him “Do you know how many wrestlers in Mexico want to be here?

Chuck Palumbo’s contract expires soon and it is unlikely to be renewed as WWE haven’t done anything with him in months. He has already spoken to such contacts as Marco Corleone (Mark Jindrak) in CMLL and Rellik (that’s Killer spelt backwards) in AAA about getting work in Mexico.

Low-Ki had a tryout match at the Smackdown tapings this week, losing to Primo Colon. He was also backstage at Raw and is being considered for a feud with Rey Mysterio, possibly as another masked wrestler. Mysterio and MVP have been pushing for the company to bring him in.

Goldust might also be getting a new deal after surprising everybody by getting almost as many votes as Roddy Piper and Honky Tonk Man at Cyber Sunday. Brian Gerwitz is one of the people that wants to bring him in as he feels Goldust will add more comedy to Raw. There is also the feeling that the lapsed audience will appreciate a familiar figure from the past, which they can then use to get younger undercard guys over. However, obviously, Goldust is not in good shape and would ideally need some time to improve his conditioning before working on a regular schedule. There is also the issue of how they would explain his relationship to Cody Rhodes, if indeed they do at all.
