NBC Likely To Cancel My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle!

News

NBC may be dropping two of its dramas.

Word came in Wednesday (Nov. 12) from media sources that NBC has canceled My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle.

Newcomer Enemy starring Christian Slater has been falling in the ratings in recent weeks, pulling in a paltry 4.3 million viewers on Monday’s airing. Although having Heroes as a lead-in should have helped, the superhero drama has been slipping with viewers lately. There’s no word if Enemy will continue to burn off its remaining episodes or if it’ll be replaced.

In its second season, Jungle has been pulling in low numbers for a while and dropped to all-time lows once it moved to Friday nights. It has completed shooting on its original 13-episode order. The buzz is that the network may wait to see if ratings improve before deciding to drop the ax on the show.

NBC has yet to release official word on the fate of the two shows.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
