Friday Night Lights Back on NBC and Complete NBC Mid-Season Schedule!

NBC is ringing in the New Year with a lineup of returning favorites, new series and an original movie in January.

Friday Night Lights fans who didn’t catch the third season of their beloved show on DirectTV can finally see what happened to Landry, Lila, Saracen and the gang when it returns on Friday, Jan. 16.

But before that, NBC is boasting all sorts of newness for its winter schedule, beginning with Superstars of Dance from the makers of So You Think You Can Dance? Superstars, which showcases the world’s best and most varied dancers. It will make its two-hour debut on Sunday, Jan. 4, before moving to its regular Monday slot. It will be followed by the Ryan Seacrest-executive produced alternative series Momma’s Boys, about mothers who help their grown sons pick a romantic partner from a group of single ladies.

Viewers will also get a new taste of Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel in his new show Howie Do It, debuting Friday, Jan. 9 and be reminded of their New Year’s resolutions when The Biggest Loser: Couples returns on Jan. 6.

Other new programming for NBC include the original movie The Last Templar on Sunday and Monday, Jan. 25-26 and the specials Saturday Night Live Sports Extra (Jan. 4) and Saturday Night Live Film Festival (Jan. 18). The network will also air a Presidential Inauguration Day special on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
