The latest on Christian Cage from TNA is that they believe he is not coming back. They had a meeting with him and asked what it would take for him to stay, plus they had some of the guys speak to him individually to try and talk him out of leaving, but it appears he is going to take the WWE offer. The feeling is that WWE are going to link him with Edge again, which, given Edge’s position, is a lucrative enough spot to justify the extra days on the road Christian was not so keen on. WWE re-hiring Tyson Tomko, Christian’s former ‘problem solver’, in the past week also hints at Christian’s return happening soon.
Vince McMahon has been criticising the WWE announcers again, most notably Michael Cole, as he wants them to talk less during in-ring interviews and major spots to let the story tell itself. He also wants them to have a more conversational tone at all times rather than the Jim Ross style of increasing their passion as a match builds towards a finish.
