– Chris Sabin beats Kioshi to make it to the finals of the X Title Tournament, which will be held at Genesis. Shane Sewell was the referee and Sheik Abdul Bashir attacked him after the match, only for your Friendly Neighborhood Suicide to make the save.
– A.J. Styles & Brother Devon beat Booker T & Scott Steiner. The Main Event Mafia attacked Styles after that match, only for resident fat man Mick Foley to make the save. Foley then announced that at Genesis he would team with Styles and Devon to take on Booker, Steiner and Kevin Nash.
– ODB, Christy Hemme, Roxxi & Taylor Wilde beat Awesome Kong, Raisha Saeed, Rhaka Khan & Soujourner Bolt in a Knockouts Santa Match. That name makes even less sense than a Santa’s Little Helper Match.
– Kurt Angle beat Rhino by DQ following interference from Jeff Jarrett. The angst-ridden Sting made the save after the match, the third such happening on this one show.
TNA tapes the New Year’s Day episode of Impact tonight, which will be their last live event in 2008. They held their annual Christmas party for the roster in Orlando last night after the tapings.
