Mike Johnson at PWI reports that Hade Vansen’s new character is being pulled from TV following only one appearance. He was meant to be built up as an opponent for the Undertaker, but Vince McMahon decided he didn’t want an untested developmental talent getting that kind of spot. Kevin Fertig (Kevin Thorn) and developmental talent Black Pain also saw their new characters scrapped, as they were meant to be associated with Vansen in some way.
According to Johnson, Vansen (a British worker signed to a contract last year) was meant to play a “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels-esque cult figure. Michael Hayes is the writer behind pushing him as a new rival for the Undertaker.
