ABC's True Beauty Contestants Revealed!

News

ABC has revealed the identities of the 10 people whose True Beauty (or lack thereof) will be on display to the world starting next week.

The six women and four men, who range in age from 21 to 31, go into the show thinking they’ve been recruited for a TV show that will judge which one of them is the hottest (like Are You Hot?, but without Lorenzo Lamas and his laser pointer). However, cameras will also record their behavior, and they’ll be judged as much as on how they act and how they treat other people as how they look.

They won’t be made aware of this fact until after each elimination, when the booted contestant sees a series of clips showing how he or she behaved. The winner gets a pile of cash and a spot in People‘s annual “100 Most Beautiful” issue.

Former MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo serves as host of the show and one of its judges, along with model Cheryl Tiegs and stylist Nole Marin (America’s Next Top Model). Tyra Banks (Top Model) and Ashton Kutcher (Beauty and the Geek) are among the executive producers.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
