In anticipation of Christian’s return to WWE, Pro Wrestling Torch has an excerpt from Batista’s biography, where he puts him over:

“This is just my personal feeling, but I always felt like Jay was never really given his fair shot in WWE,” Batista said. “He really had tremendous star potential. Maybe that’s not for me to say, but I loved watching him work.”

Batista went on to talk about how well liked backstage, which bodes well for his return.

ECW’s Main Event (as advertised on RAW tonight) is Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry.

Mike Johnson at PWI has information on WWE’s house shows in California. The February 8th show in show in Barstow has been cancelled, while the February 9th show in Bakersfield has been moved to the 8th at the Rabobank Theater.

Johnson also reprints a press release about JBL’s latest business venture; distributing the world’s first extreme relaxation beverage:

“Adding drank(TM) to our product mix was just good business at this time in our company’s development. We are pleased to have the opportunity to distribute such a unique product in this growing market in Tennessee,” said CEO John Layfield.
