Mark Feuerstein will be on-call at USA.
The actor stars in Royal Pains, a doctor series that USA picked up for 11 hourlong episodes, in addition to the two-hour pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jeff Wachtel, executive vp original programing at USA, says the show will be more quirky and personal than the ensemble medical shows that currently grace primetime.
Pains centers on a young doctor who loses everything after making a critical decision in the ER. When he visits the Hamptons, he reluctantly becomes a concierge doctor to the wealthy and elite.
It’s likely that Pains, which began being developed two years ago, will be a companion for House, of which the off-network rights have been acquired.
Pains also stars Paulo Costanzo, Jill Flint and Reshma Shetty and will potentially premiere this summer.
