FOX is on the verge of ordering up a pair of drama pilots, including a comic book-based project from McG, while CBS has given the go-ahead to a comedy called Tick Tock.

Elsewhere, NBC has added Hugh Bonneville to the cast of David E. Kelley’s Legally Mad.

FOX’s two projects are both dramas. Human Target is based on the DC/Vertigo comics character Christopher Chance, a security expert who puts himself in harm’s way for his clients. “ericho creator Jonathan Steinberg is writing the script, and McG will be an executive producer through his Wonderland Sound & Vision company, the showbiz trade papers report.

The other FOX project, Maggie Hill, centers on a female surgeon who suffers from schizophrenia. Shark creator Ian Biederman penned the script and will exec produce with Brian Grazer and David Nevins.

The single-camera comedy Tick Tock is about a single mother who embarks on a single-minded quest to find true love. Bill Kunstler (The War at Home) created the show, which landed at CBS Paramount TV after drawing interest from several studios.

Over at NBC, Bonneville (Iris, HBO’s Five Days) will star opposite fellow Brit Charity Wakefield in Legally Mad. He’ll play Wakefield’s father and the head of the eccentric law firm she joins.

To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
