TNA News: Frank Trigg On TNA, Angle and Lesnar In MMA

News

Trigg talks TNA and MMA (and Angle and Lesnar).

PWI has a recap of Frank Trigg’s appearance on the Barbaric Wrestling radio show. Trigg talked about his status in TNA (the door’s still open for him to return, but scheduling conflicts and his next MMA fight have kept him away), his disappointment with his first match in TNA with AJ (while still putting AJ over), TNA’s attempts at MMA-style matches, and MMA fighters and pro wrestling (he thinks there should be more fighters in pro wrestling instead of wrestlers going in to MMA).

He segued that in to talking about training with Angle for his long talked about MMA debut and called Brock Lesnar legit following his UFC Championship win over Randy Couture. That said, he’s picking Frank Mir to win their fight at UFC 98. Oh, and he said Angle submitted Lesnar often in backstage shoot wrestling matches in WWE, although he admits a match today would be different.

There’s also a lot there about MMA in general, covering his UFC fights with Matt Hughes (he’s not fond of him) and George St. Pierre, and a lot more.
