News

No more one night stands for WWE? Plus news on how the new Legends of Wrestlemania video game will tie in to Wrestlemania weekend, Mickey Rourke at Wrestlemania, and JBL at OVW.

PWI’s Mike Johnson reports the following WWE news:

WWE’s move to make all of their programming PG-TV rated means that June’s “One Night Stand” PPV will likely be changed (possibly to Extreme Rules, due to the show’s theme of the whole card being hardcore/gimmick matches).

The upcoming Legends of Wrestlemania video game will be sponsoring the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Apparently, there’s even talk of doing a “nostalgia match” at ‘Mania to promote the game.

The LA Times’ Oscar Blog talks about how Mickey Rourke’s upcoming Wrestlemania appearance might hurt his Oscar chances.

OVW’s website has more about JBL’s appearance at tomorrow night’s show.
