Yay!

I’m back once again on what should be some semblance of a regular schedule and ready to type whatever comes to mind, just for you. And what a time to get back into the groove as WrestleMania Season is underway.

I watched WWE Royal Rumble on Sunday Night (thus forcing me to watch The L Word on DVR Replay, but whatever). This year’s edition of the Royal Rumble Match itself gave off more of a logjam feel as there always seemed to be a pile of wrestlers in the ring, right up to the end. That and it seemed to just sorta whisk by. Seriously, WWE may need to hire a new timekeeper or something for next year’s event.

You know there are problems in the WWE Universe when the most stable on-screen brother relationship belongs to The Undertaker and Kane. And really, how pissed does Matt Hardy have to be at his brother, Jeff in order to help out, “Adam Feces,” of all people? For a split second, I thought I had died and gone to TNA.

I’d like to rally around Jack Swagger, but that goofy smile of his just throws it off. I think he needs to stop smiling and just become more of an arrogant prick. Hey, it worked for Randy Orton.

Speaking of the Diamondcutter Version 2 guy, his current schtick has provided for the first time since his RNN updates that I’ve actually found him entertaining. From his Legacy formation to the placekicking of Vince McMahon’s head, he’s actually become fun to watch. …Granted, he’s still easy to pick on when…pause…he talks…pause…on the…pause…microphone.

I think it’s cool that Blue Demon Jr. still has the NWA World Heavyweight title. Sure, his mask reminds me of the old Gladiators tag team from NWA Crockett, but still…

Next week, I’m looking to have a little fun with the Alternate Kayfabe style of things, writing a narrative of the all-time Elimination Chamber. So, whether in reply here or through at radiokc@hotmail.com , feel free to choose your favorite combatant from any of the previous Elimination Chamber matches and I’ll try to write up my own version of it. If nothin’ else, it’ll give me somethin’ to do as we pass the time between now and WWE No Way Out.

Today’s song is, “Candyman,” by Cornershop. I blame those shoe people for getting that song stuck in my head a short while back.
