Report: Mickey Rourke Backs Out Of Wrestlemania 25

News, Top Story

Just a day after appearing on Larry King Live in a verbal sparring match with Chris Jericho, Mickey Rourke has apparently backed out of his appearance for WWE at Wrestlemania 25.

Through a spokeswoman, it was relayed that Rourke “will not be participating in Wrestlemania. He is focusing entirely on his acting career.”

Rourke is a nominee for the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in The Wrestler and Hollywood critics have noted that appearing in at Wrestlemania could jeopardize his chance of winning.

Pulse Wrestling will have more on the status of Mickey Rourke at Wrestlemania throughout the day, with implications that could reverberate throughout the plan for Wrestlemania 25.
