Neil Marshall, the British writer/director behind cult favorites Dog Soldiers and The Descent as well as the poorly received Doomsday, has finished casting his latest film.
Michael Fassbender (300 and the up coming Inglourious Basterds), Dominic West 300, Punisher: War Zone) and Olga Kurylenko (Max Payne, Quantum of Solace) have signed to star in the British-set sword and sandals thriller Centurion, for Slumdog Millionaire producer Christian Colson of Celador Films.
The movie will be a thriller set during the Roman invasion of Britain in AD 117. It is the story of Quintus Dias, sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, who marches north with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the earth and destroy their leader Gorlacon.
