Bill Murray Joins Get Low

Disc Announcements, News

Bill Murray, who hasn’t starred in a film since 2005’s Broken Flowers seems to be enjoying small rolls.

Murray, along with Lucas Black, has just signed on to appear in the film Get Low to be directed by Aaron Schneider and is written by C. Gaby Mitchell and Chris Provenzano. Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek are also attached to the film.

Get Low is based on the true story of Felix “Bush” Breazeale, a Tennessee recluse who planned his own funeral in 1938 while he was still alive to enjoy it.

Murray and Black will play partners at the funeral home in the film which starts shooting this week in Georgia.

Murray most recently appeared in City Of Ember and will also been Jim Jarmusch’s The Limits Of Control and Wes Anderson’s animated Fantastic Mr. Fox which are both due out this year.

For Aaron Schneider, who is a long time cinematographer, this is his directorial debut.
