Comment on tonight’s show by scrolling down to the bottom of this report!

We open the show with none other than Ric Flair!  Oakland, California is the place to be tonight.  WOOOOO!  Ric reminds us about what he was doing a year ago and reminds us about losing to Shawn Michaels.  He has no regrets and Chris Jericho wastes no time, he won’t allow Ric to continue.  Huge heat on Jericho’s part.  Before Flair comments, Jericho wants to show Ric this clip from last year – where the two hugged.  Had Jericho known that Flair would prostitute himself, he wouldn’t hugged him – he’d slap him in the face.  Ric calls him insecure with himself.  Ric has never sold out; that he has too much respect for Michaels and the WWE.  He has no respect for Jericho.  They bicker back and forth and Jericho talks about Ric selling himself for autographs and being in the center of attention.  Ric has to because HE LOVES THE SPOTLIGHT!  Ric says he retired from the ring, but not from the business.  Jericho says that he is a locker room leader and how he is respected more than Flair is.  Jericho says that the fans can care less about Flair, sure they can cheer him at the arena, but afterwards, they’ll slap the pictures on Facebook and forget it.  Jericho tells Flair to stop catering to the “parasites”.  He wants Flair to develop an ego, but Flair says NO!  Jericho eggs Flair on and that he has no one to blame but himself.  Flair decks Jericho and that is that.  Jericho walks up the ramp and Flair “panders to the fans”.

We get a pimp for Taker v. Orton tonight, followed by a recap of last week.

Commercials.

We’re back and we have Cena/Kingston/Mysterio taking on Jericho/Knox/Kane tonight!

In the ring, we have Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Rosa Mendez, and Santino Marella.  Next week on RAW, Melina will defend her title against Beth Phoenix.  Ahem, why is this NOT on the PPV?

Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall v. Kelly Kelly & Melina

Boo!  Kelly Kelly is wearing pants tonight.  She’s still hot, so I can’t complain.  Cue the dirty old man jokes from Lawler and the bell rings.  Kelly and Jillian take it to the mat.  Kelly flips up and she takes Jillian down with a clothesline.  Tag to Melina and she does a footstomp on the second turnbuckle.  Jillian can’t get any offense going on her own, so Beth helps her out.  Jillian tags out and Beth gets two on Melina.  Beth stomps away and she nails a bodyslam.  Leg drop misses and Melina comes back with some rights.  Melina does a Matrix move, missing the clothesline and she kicks Beth twice in the head…only for two.  Jillian distracts away, but that does not work.  Rosa gets involved, tripping Melina up and preventing a springboard crossbody.  The Glam Slam connects and that is all.

Winners: Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall
Grade: C

We take a flashback to Wrestlemania III.  This is where Hogan bodyslammed Andre the Giant.

We’re back and JBL and Shawn Michaels talk about next week.  JBL took the pleasure to book Shawn against Mark Henry in a tune up match tonight.

I HEAR VOICES IN MY HEAD!

The Legacy trio make their way out onto the stage.  Rhodes & DiBiase are ready to compete tonight.  Randy reminds us that he won the Royal Rumble.  He tells us that he can face either brand champion at Wrestlemania 25.  No one can stand in his way, not even the McMahon’s.  Randy wasn’t going to kick her in the head last week, he was just going to show her and Shane what could had happened.  He wants Stephanie around so when he takes out Shane, she can watch.  The Undertaker won’t stop Randy tonight.  Randy talks with DiBiase & Rhodes and they make their way to the ring for their match.  But first, a commercial!

Commercial.

Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase v. Cryme Tyme

The bell sounds and Shad takes it to Legacy from the get go, exacting revenge from last week.  High hip toss by Shad on Rhodes and Shad sends him to the ropes.  Boot to the mouth and Ted gets the tag and the attack from behind.  DiBiase drops the elbow on the back of Shad’s neck and tags in Cody.  Rhodes and DiBiase trade tags and they isolate Shad in their corner.  Shad continues to be in trouble and DiBiase scores with the knees to the face.  He gets a kick in and scores a two count.  Chinlock time and Shad gets out of it with an armdrag.  Boot is blocked and we get tags all around.  JTG takes it to Cody.  On the rebound, flying forearm connects.  MUG SHOT ON THE CORNER CONNECTS!  Ted breaks the pin and takes care of Shad.  JTG goes after Ted, but Cody hits the Roll of the Dice, now known as “The Crossroads” and scores the win.

Winners: The Legacy
Grade: C

Six man tag…IS NEXT!

We get a video promoting Gillette Fusion and the WWE.

Commercials.

The Oakland Raiders are in the house tonight as we gear up for our first main event.

Kane, Mike Knox, & Chris Jericho v. Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, & John Cena

Now the entrances have been made, we must take a commercial break.  Where’s the logic in that?

Commercials.

We’re JIP with Kane and Kofi in the ring.  Kofi evades a charge from Kane and he hits a crossbody.  Double leg drop by Kofi and that only gets two.  Kofi slugs away, but Kane swats him away.  Kofi dodges a clothesline, but eats a stiffer one anyway.  In comes Knox and we get a chinlock.  Knox misses a charge and gets kicked in the back of the head.  Cena is in and he does his moves of doom (shoulderblock, the Throwback, Five Knuckle Shuffle).  He attemts the Attitude Adjustment, but Kane stops that.  Knox gets his bearings and he tosses Jericho out of the ring.  Jericho directs traffic while Kane rams Cena against the steel steps.  Kane comes in and does a number on Cena before tagging Jericho in.  Jericho snaps Cena’s neck on the bottom rope…but SUPER CENA COMES BACK!  Jericho stops it and hits a flapjack for two.  Reverse chinlock applied, but Cena gets Jericho up for the A.A.  Jericho counters with a faceplant and tags in Kane.  Cena gets squashed in the corner and Kane scores a two count.  Chinlock on Cena applied, but Cena won’t stay down.  Cean breaks the hold, but eats a sidewalk slam for two.  Kane readies for the Chokeslam and Cena HITS THE A.A. INSTEAD!  Tags to Mysterio and Jericho!  Rey takes it to Jericho and FACEPLANT!  Rey gets two, Knox breaks the pin.  Rey allows Knox to take himself out of the ring, bit Jericho takes the offense for a moment.  Drop toe hold on Jericho to the turnbuckle!  Kofi comes in and he sends Mysterio to Jericho!  KANE CHOKES REY OUT OF THE RING, SPINE CRACKING THE APRON!  Kofi goes off the top…Jericho is ready…CODEBREAKER CONNECTS!  That’s that!

Winners: Chris Jericho, Mike Knox, & Kane
Grade: B-

Kane and Knox does not like Jericho getting the win.

Stephanie is on the phone, saying that she knows what she is doing.  She can handle herself and that she will be fine.

WWE Rewind: JBL & Shawn’s promo from last week.

Shawn Michaels v. Mark Henry

Before the match can start, JBL makes his way to the ring for commentary.  Shawn jumps the gun before the match starts.  Once the match begins proper, Shawn takes it to Henry before getting swatted away.  Drop toe hold sends Henry to the second turnbuckle.  Shawn takes a chair and tosses it in the ring.  Henry grabs the chair…SWEET CHIN MUSIC TO THE CHAIR!  The referee calls for the bell.

Winner via DQ: Mark Henry
Grade: N/A

But wait, JBL is not impressed.  He reminds Shawn that if he gets DQ’ed, counted out, or ignore the referee’s rules, he will lose this Sunday.  JBL continues to berate Shawn, goading him to bring his wife to No Way Out this Sunday.  Shawn’s gonna kill him next Sunday.

Taker v. Orton tonight!

Punk v. Regal…NEXT!

Slam of the Week: Regal beats Punk in tag action last week.

William Regal v. CM Punk (c)
WWE Intercontinental Championship

Layla accompanies Regal to ringside tonight.  The bell rings and they jockey for position.  Regal gets a knee to Punk’s face, which allows him to get the advantage.  He pummels Punk in the corner before getting restrained by the ref.  Punk takes control and he knees Regal’s face repeatedly.  GTS attempt, but Regal gets out of it.  Shot to the skull and Regal gets the cover…for two.  Regal locks on a chinlock, with Punk choking himself.  Punk gets out of it.  Punk gets an attempt to the cover, but Regal headbutts his way out of it.  Regal continues the pressure, getting a cover for two.  Belly to Belly overhead suplex connects and Punk is in trouble as Regal measures for the kneelift.  Punk sees it coming and he scores a kick to the side of the head!  GTS connects…and Punk retains!

Winner: CM Punk
Grade: C

We’re back and it’s MAIN EVENT TIME!

Randy Orton v. The Undertaker

The bell sounds and they lock up.  Orton is the aggressor, but Taker turns the tables with the body shots.  Pill to post we go and Orton gets sent outside the ring.  Taker goes outside and Orton bashes his head against the barricade.  Taker snaps Orton’s neck off the top rope and comes back in the ring.  Orton goes to the ropes, but he bails and takes a powder.  Taker doesn’t have it and he levels him on the outside.  Commercial break coming up!

Commercials.

We’re back and Orton and Taker trade submission holds.  Orton hits a spike DDT from the second rope to take control.  Orton has the chinlock applied, but Taker tries to fight out of it.  Taker is successful and he nails an uppercut on Orton!  Orton snaps a powerslam on Taker and he covers…for two!  Vintage Orton commences and he covers for another two count.  Chinlock is reapplied, but Taker won’t go down.  Taker gets a waistlock and scores a side slam!  Orton beats Taker to the punch and they brawl in the center of the ring.  Taker sends Orton to the corner and he squashes him like a bug.  Snake Eyes connects and the big boot follows!  Taker drops the leg and only gets two.  Chokeslam time…Orton is set up…Orton tries to counter wth the RKO, no dice.  Taker gets the Tombstone, but the Legacyt intervenes and that gets the DQ.

No Way Out is set in stone and the WWE sold the Elimination Chamber matches, JBL/Michaels, and McMahon/Orton.  Because of this, I can overlook the lackluster wrestling tonight.  I’ll be here to cover No Way out this Sunday, but before that, I’ll be back Thursday with some TNA news.  Have a great week!
