Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Frank Shamrock has agreed to face Nick Diaz in the main event of the Strikeforce event on April 11th.
The show, which will take place at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, will be the first Strikeforce show since the purchase of EliteXC by Strikeforce owner Scott Coker. It will also be Shamrock’s first fight since his loss to Cung Le in March 2008.
The official announcement of the bout will come today during a 3pm ET conference call with Strikeforce owner Scott Coker and Showtime Senior Vice President Ken Hershman.
