Welcome to the EC-Dub!

Tonight we should see some confrontation between Swagger and Finlay in preparation for their title match on Sunday.  No Way Out should be fun.  I always enjoy the Elimination Chamber.  Raw’s lineup sucks, though.  It’s not even remotely believable that anyone other than Cena can win that match.  Just my opinion.  Anyway, here we go.

Recap of Hornswaggle stealing Swagger’s belt and the ensuing mayhem from 2 weeks ago.  Then, Swagger’s first ECW loss to Finlay last week, which was a great match.

We’re live in Fresno, CA and your hosts are Todd Grisham and Matt Striker.

Swagger’s music hits and the champ comes to the ring.  He unceremoniously drops his belt on the way.

He’s got the mic and hears the boos from the crowd.  He talks about being victimized the last two weeks.  And what has the GM done?  Made him defend his title at No Way Out against Finlay.  That is unfair, and he is a victim.  He’ll take care of Finlay, though, but first he will take care of the real problem.  He calls out Hornswaggle who is apparently the bane of his existence.  He calls the “little troll” out again.

AND HERE COMES CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Captain Charisma struts to the ring.  It is so good to see him back on WWE, and I personally hope he stays on ECW for a while.  Swagger asks what Christian is doing?  Christian chants start and he says he is interrupting Swagger’s promo.  He’s here to save Swagger’s life.  If he is not careful, Swagger will electrocute himself with his spitting lisp. Ha!  He goes on to make fun of the lisp some more.  He shouts out to his peeps to live in the moment!  The real reason Christian is out here is what Swagger is carrying.. his ECW belt.  He issues a challenge to the winner of No Way Out’s match for the belt.

Swagger asks if he is finished.  That means he is facing Swagger, not Finlay.  Swagger is a wrestling prodigy.  Christian won’t make a name for himself again at Swagger’s expense.  He is not a threat.  Christian belts him with the mic and makes his way to the back as his music hits.

Commercial break.  That was awesome.

We’re back and we take a look at what just happened.  Swagger asks Teddy Long if he knew Christian was here.  Long says of course he does and they have a match tonight!

Tommy Dreamer is in the ring and we recap the beatdown he took last week from Miz and Morrison.  The Miz comes down next with Morrison in tow.

Tommy Dreamer vs. The Miz (with Morrison)

Dreamer starts out pounding on the Miz and he retreats only to have Dreamer follow.  Miz jumps from the apron and misses.  Dreamer rolls him back into the ring and gives him the elbow.  Cover for two.  Miz reverses a suplex and rams Dreamer into the corner.  Miz in control with some shots to the head and a kick to the stomach.  Chinlock.  Dreamer reverses with a suplex.  Some blows to the Miz’s midsection.  Clothesline off the ropes.  Bulldog from Dreamer!  Flapjack.  Cover for two. Dreamer connects a neckbreaker  off the second turnbuckle.  Cover for two as Miz reaches the ropes.  Miz almost hits Morrison, and then Dreamer DOES hit him.  The Miz hits some sort of jawbreaker off the top of his head and covers Dreamer. 1,2,3!  I’ve never seen Miz do that move before.

Winner: The Miz

Quick match.  Not much more than a squash.

Commercial.

We’re back and we take a look at Jamie Noble’s loss to the Boogeyman last week.  Long is talking with Tiffany and Noble shows up.  Noble complains about Boogeyman trying to put worms in his mouth.  He does NOT want a rematch.  This isn’t how a million dollar talent is treated.  Long dismisses him as he has a meeting.  He welcomes Tyson and Natalya to ECW.  They appreciate the opportunity to wrestle on the show.  Tyson says if Noble is the big dog from Raw, he needs to be sent back to the pound.

Christian is backstage and Hornswaggle comes in and runs circles around him.  Finlay arrives and stares down Christian.  He welcomes Christian.  He then tells him Finlay will be the one he’ll have to beat for the belt.

Another commercial.

We see an Evan Bourne video package.  Hope he returns soon.  They say he will.

Tyson Kidd and Natalya Neidhart come down to the ring.  Bao Nguyen is already in the ring.

Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya) vs. Bao Nguyen

Kidd finds himself in an armbar but runs him back to the corner.  He neglects to clean break and takes control.  Roundhouse kick to the face.  Stomp.  Cover for two.  Chinlock applied.  Bao tries to fight out.  He gets kicked going for the back drop.  Kidd to the outside and springboards off the top rope with an elbow.  Cover and 1,2,3.

Winner: Tyson Kidd (squash)

Jamie Noble shows up at the top of the ramp to stare down Kidd.

Commercial.

Raw Rebound.  Randy Orton/McMahon package.

“The All-American American” heads to the ring once again.  And here comes Christian!

Jack Swagger (champion) vs. Christian, non-title match

They lock up and Swagger shoots him to the mat.  Christian tries to escape and makes it to the ropes.  Clean break.  They stare each other down and lock up again.  Swagger powers him to the corner.  Shove to the chest.  Christian responds with a slap.  Rolls up Swagger for a 1 count.  Christian in control and slaps him again in the corner.  Off the second turnbuckle for a sunset flip and a 2 count.  Swagger takes a break in the corner.  Finlay and Hornswaggle make their way to the ring!

We go to commercial break as both combatants stare down the newcomers.

We’re back and Swagger is in control with a bear hug.  Finlay and Hornswaggle join the broadcast booth.  Swagger mat wrestles Christian while Hornswaggle grunts on mic.  During the break, Swagger threw Christian out o the ring.  Knee lift from Swagger.  Kicks in the corner and a clothesline.  Christian back to the corner after trying some offense.  Swagger puts him on the top turnbuckle.  Christian is fighting back.  Front face lock and then a DDT from the top!  Cover and 1,2, kick out!  Big right from Christian.  Sends Swagger to the corner, and Swagger fights back.  Christian gets the reverse DDT!  He goes to the top rope and misses the head butt. Swagger rolls him up and gets two.  He goes for the  gutwrench and is reversed to a finisher attempt.  Swagger gets a suplex and a cover for two.  Swagger off the second rope and misses the splash.  He rolls to the apron and Christian follows.  They fight on the apron and Swagger attemps a suplex to the outside.  Christian holds on and gives a kick to Swagger that sends him to the announce table.  Christian goes after him and Swagger sends him over the table and into the Finlays.  Back in the ring and a big boot to Christian.  He exposes two turnbuckles.  Christian rolls him up while the ref is distracted fixing them.  Ref counts 2.  Here comes Hornswaggle while Swagger has Christian set up for an electric chair.  Finlay hits Swagger in the leg with the shillelagh and Christian hits him with his finisher.  1,2,3!!!!!

Winner: Christian

Sorry, I can’t remember the name of Christian’s finisher.  I’m drawing a blank.

Swagger loses for the second week in a row, and the show finishes.  It was a great one.  I totally didn’t expect to see Christian and he looked good matched up with Swagger.  See you next week!
