In the past few days, Brian Ward, a producer with Shout! Factory, posted on the site’s community message board that Shout! would be releasing the first season of the short-lived series Parker Lewis Can’t Lose later this year. David Lambert of TVShowsonDVD.com followed up with Brian and got the confirmation.
Dave Lambert, over at TVShowsOnDVD.com (one of my personal favorite sites), emailed me to confirm that Shout! Factory is, in fact, doing Parker Lewis Can’t Lose after my most recent post. Allow me to confirm it here and now. Shout! Factory will be releasing Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, beginning with the first season, later this year.
We are currently lining up talent for retrospective interviews and trying to get our hands on as much archival material as possible. I’ll let you guys know more, as it happens.
Fans who had to resort to bootleg copies that have circulated over the Net for years can rest easy. Now that the Criterion of classic television is handling the release, it looks like the series will be in good hands.
