10 Thoughts on TNA iMPACT! – 02.12.09

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

01)  The tension between Kurt Angle and Sting does nothing for me.  I thought the last time they had a big match on pay-per-view in October of 2007 it was absolutely terrible.  Also, Brother Ray’s Mohawk is stupid.

02)  I hate when any wrestling company shows a lot of replays, but especially ones that say “earlier tonight” when it just happened before the last commercial break.  I can understand maybe showing it later, but come on.

03)  I think I’ve heard the word “Headdress” enough times for one night.  And why would the referee try to stop someone from using a foreign object in a no-DQ match?

04)  It was a big deal when Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner had their first match back in 2006, but why should I be excited to see it now?

05)  I’ll put all my thoughts on the Knockouts Gauntlet right here.  I can’t believe they’re still even mentioning the fake Sarah Palin thing.  I kind of like Raisha Saeed’s ridiculous ring gear.  Rhaka Khan is awful.

06)  Doing the Rough Cuts segment on the Ultimate X match is so much better than doing it on a heel and making them look sympathetic.  Hopefully they continue like this.

07)   I like the Motor City Machineguns as heels.  Sabin can go either way but I’ve always greatly preferred Shelley as a heel.

08)  Why does Brutus Magnus dress the way he does?  ODB is not funny.

09)  The way TNA has killed the Abyss character is one of the sadder things they’ve ever done.  And that’s saying a lot.  I know the Internet is nuts about Stevie Richards for some reason, but I have no desire to ever see him do anything again.

10)  Mick Foley’s Hardcore History is another pointless segment, but as long as it keeps Mr. Sensitive happy TNA will continue to do it.
