WWE News Roundup: Scotty Goldman, Jericho, Punk, Batista, HHH, The Rock, Mysterio, DX

News

Scotty Goldman has his first post-WWE release comments on his myspace blog. He seems to be in good spirits, based on this small sample size.

PWI’s Mike Johnson reported the following on current WWE talent:

The horror movie Chris Jericho worked on during his WWE sabbatical, Albino Farm , has been picked up for distribution by MTI Home Video for a fall release. Jericho will appear on the synidcated Bonnie Hunt Show on Monday.

CM Punk will be presenting an award at the Epiphone Revolver Golden God Awards on April 7th in L.A.

Batista’s on track for an return in August from his hamstring surgery.

HHH appears to be out of the running for the lead in Marvel’s Thor movie, as they’re looking for someone in their 20s.

Also, the Rock may play Race Bannon in a Johnny Quest adaptation.

Johnson also has news on two upcoming WWE Books. Joining an Iron Sheik bio are a Rey Mysterio autobiography (co-written by Jeremy Roberts, who worked on Batista and Eric Bischoff’s books as well) and a “History of DX” paperback. No details on the latter at this time, but you would assume this would cover all the incarnations of the stable. We shall see.

Finally, Johnson provides pictures of John Cena dressed as an LA Kings goalie for a skit with the team. Seems like as good a place to cap things off as any.
