Welcome to the EC-Dub!

Tonight Christian and Swagger will settle their differences in the ring with the ECW Championship on the line!  Can’t wait for the main event.

The ECW pyro starts and your hosts Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome you to Nashville, TN.

In the ring, DJ Gabrel and Alicia Fox are dancing.  Guess that answers my question from last week.  Mark Henry’s music hits and here he comes.

DJ Gabriel (w/ Alicia Fox) vs. Mark Henry (w/ Tony Atlas)

We start out with Henry shoving Gabriel to the ground.  They lock up and Gabriel goes for a take down only to be hip-tossed.  Henry looks at Alicia and Gabriel dropkicks him.  He hammers away but Henry slugs him to the ground.  In the corner Henry steps on Gabriel.  Irish ship to the opposite corner and Gabriel falls to the ground.  Henry stalks him and kicks him back down.  More clubbing blows and now a chinlock.  The “Temptress of the Tango” tries to motivate her man.  Gabriel fighting out but is pushed to the corner.  Rush by Henry misses.  Hammer off the ropes from Gabriel.  Two more.  Dropkick to the knee.  Uppercut.  On the second rope with a double hammer.  To the top rope and is caught by Henry.  World’s Strongest Slam.  1,2,3.

Winner: Mark Henry.  Not too bad for a Mark Henry match.  Gabriel needed more offense though.

Commercial break.

We’re back with a video package of Evan Bourne.

Here comes Tyson Kidd to the ring with Natalya.  Matt Boyce is already in the ring.

Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya) vs. Matt Boyce

Kidd takes down Boyce and gets him in a leg scissors.  Boyce to the ropes.  He goes after Kidd who retreats.  They lock up and Kidd gets Boyce in an armbar and takes him to the ground.  Ropes for the break.  Kidd slaps him in the head.  Boyce with some blows and irish whip.  Sunset flip by Boyce for two.  Kidd is mad and kicks Boyce to the ground.  Elbow to the face.  Leg scissors  around the neck.  He yells at the ref to ask if he submits.  Knee drop.  Jumping back kick to the face.  Kidd hit’s his elbow drop from the top rope (not turnbuckle).  He needs to name his finisher.

Winner: Tyson Kidd.  Squash match.

Recap of the Orton-Triple H feud.  I’m excited for that match at Wrestlemania.  They should make it a cage match, or better yet Hell in a Cell. It’ll never happen at Wrestlemania though.

Tommy Dreamer is in the ring.  It doesn’t bode well that he doesn’t get an entrance.  Here comes Paul Burchill. We recap Burchill’s victory over the Boogeyman last week.

Paul Burchill (w/ Katie Lea) vs. Tommy Dreamer

Dreamer in control and hip tosses Burchill.  Neckbreaker.  Dreamer clotheslines him to the outside.  Dreamer throws him back in and hits a neckbreaker.  Goes for an elbow and misses.  Burchill stomps on Dreamer.  Some forearm blows.  Quick uppercut.  He rubs Dreamer’s face in the second turnbuckle.  Head to the top turnbuckle.  Dreamer blocks with his foot, but Burchill clothelines him down.  Cover for a one count.  Burchill sizes Dreamer up but misses the knees to the back.  Dreamer with a clothesline and another neckbreaker.  Hits the elbow.  Cover for two.  Irish whip to the corner.  Burchill knocks him down.  Goes up to the second rope and is caught by the legs!  Catapult to the corner.  Dreamer ties up Burchill in the ropes and goes for the dropkick.  Katie Lea pulls her brother out of the way!  The lights go out and The Boogeyman’s music hits!! He’s under the ring and tries to pull Katie Lea under!!! Katie Lea gets away and Burchill is distracted by the action.  Dreamer turns him around and hits the DDT!  Cover. 1,2,3!!

Winner: Tommy Dreamer.  Good match that also set up an insta-feud between Burchill and Boogeyman.  Dreamer finally pulls out a win.

Our main event is next! Commercial break.

We’re back and Swagger just forearmed Christian to the mat.  Striker says Christian was in control during most of the break.  In the ring, Swagger covers Christian for two.  He’s on the apron and Swagger shoulder blocks him to the floor.  Swagger to the outside and gets chopped by Christian.  Christian goes for a shoulder block but Swagger moves and he hits the stairs.  Swagger back in and the count begins.  Christian is holding his left hand in pain and gets in on an 8 count.  Big scoop slam with the left arm underneath from Swagger.  Armbar on the injured limb.  Christian punches with his right but Swagger wrenches the arm back.  He picks Christian up and slams him back down.  Armlock. Christian counters to a headlock in a nice move.  Swagger back to the armbar but Christian head butts out.  Swagger grabs him and picks him up for a shoulder block and picks him right back up and rams him to the corner.  Christian in pain as we go to…

Christian has a sleeper on Swagger as we get back.  Swagger backs him to the corner.  Swinging neckbreaker.  Front face lock.  Christian to the ropes and we break.  Slap from Christian.  Swagger with some kicks.  He sets up Christian on the top rope.  Christian fights his way out and hits a missile dropkick from the second turnbuckle.  Christian punches Swagger down, and when Swagger runs at him drop toe holds him down to the ropes.  He stands on Swagger’s back.  To the apron and drapes him across.  To the top and misses the flying headbutt.  Swagger gets a perfectplex for a 2 count.  They tease their finishers and Christian comes out on top with a neckbreaker.  Cover for two.  Swagger gets up and hits a belly to belly suplex.  Cover for two.  Swagger goes for a splash from the corner and Christian gets his legs up.  Sunset flip off the turnbuckles for two.  Swagger throws him out but Christian flies up to the top rope.  Swagger tries to catch him but is thrown off.  Flying Head Butt!! Cover for two.  Christian gets a front face lock and DDT’s Swagger off the ropes.  He hurt his arm and delays the cover.  Cover for two.  He goes for the Killswitch but Swagger throws him into the corner post.  Swagger goes for the Gutwrench powerbomb, and Christian reverses for a Killswitch attempt but the pain to his left arm forces him to break the hold.  Swagger gets him up for the Gutwrench.  Hits it!! 1,2,3!

Winner and still champion: Jack Swagger

Incredible match.  ECW Rocks!  This was probably better than the match against Matt Hardy that won Swagger the belt in the first place.  See you next week
