Miramax announces an April release for Doubt

Disc Announcements, News

Like Frost/Nixon, Doubt went zero for five at this year’s Oscars. But only one of the losses was to Slumdog Millionaire (Adapted Screenplay), while Supporting Actor went to Heath Ledger, Supporting Actress to Penélope Cruz, and Actress to Kate Winslet. Directed by John Patrick Shanley and based off his own play, the story centers on three characters, all raising doubts and suspicions over one another’s actions concerning a young altar boy. Meryl Streep stars as the stern Sister Aloysius Beauvier, Amy Adams as the impressionable Sister James, Philip Seymour Hoffman as the cornered Father Flynn, and Viola Davis as the boy’s conflicted mother. Doubt comes to DVD and Blu-ray on April 7th.

Includes:

â—¦ Audio Commentary with John Patrick Shanley
â—¦ 4 featurettes (From Stage to Screen, Scoring Doubt, The Sisters of Charity, The Cast of Doubt)

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
