Weekend News Roundup: Dutt, HTM, Natalya vs. Trish?, Victoria, Eugene, Swinger, And Glacier Was Almost Stone Cold?

News

News you may have missed over the weekend, including another talent leaving TNA.

PWI’s Mike Johnson reported that Sanjay Dutt has left TNA. Unlike recent talent departures, Dutt wasn’t released; he simply couldn’t come to terms with TNA on a new contract before his deal ended and decided to leave. His departure surprised many in TNA (his name was coming up in plans until last week) and could hurt them in India, where Impact has apparently done well. His valet So Cal Val’s status is unknown at this point.

Slam Wrestling and the Standard Freeholder have interviews with the Honky Tonk Man about his involvement in the Hall of Fame ceremonies during Wrestlemania weekend (he’ll be there, but WWE hasn’t approached him about an induction yet).

Natlaya Neidhart blogs about Tyson Kidd and the possibility of facing Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania at WWE Universe.

Former WWE Diva Victoria talks about her MMA training, puking in her hair, and other things she’s been up to lately at her myspace blog.

The Courier Journal has a proflie on Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore, which talks about his career post-WWE, his attempt at a comeback, and the pain pill addiction that lead to his release, among other things. Elijah Burke makes a cameo appearance.

PWI has highlights from Monday Night Mayhem’s interview with former WWE, TNA, and ECW performer Johnny Swinger. He talks about his short WWE run in 2005 and his time tagging with Simon Diamond.

PWI also has highlights of an interview with former WCW star Ray “Glacier” Lloyd, where he revealed that one of the potential names for the gimmick was “Stone Cold”.
