Pulse Wrestling’s Real-Time SmackDown Report 02.27.2009

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

I’m in for Norine tonight as she takes care of business.  I owed her a favor anyways, so enjoy tonight’s show and as always, feel free to comment as we progress tonight.

THE WORLD IS WATCHING!

I enjoy the opening SmackDown video for reasons I won’t detail.  Let’s say that Michelle McCool is hot in that video.  Pyro kicks us off tonight’s show.  Tonight, it will be Brother v. Brother and the Undertaker takes on Vladimir Koslov!

We open tonight’s show with John Cena.  You see, on RAW, he promised to follow Edge and Vickie to the ends of the earth.  Cena tells us to not adjust our TV sets as he has something special for all of us.  He hasn’t been on SmackDown for two years, but some things remain the same.  He pokes fun at JR before he addresses the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by a coward.  He promised Edge that he’d find him and he is here calling him out.  He won’t leave until he gets an answer.

This brings out Edge with a microphone in hand.  He’s sick and tired of Cena so he wants to give Cena his request.  This brings out Vickie Guerrero and she says that Edge is a warrior.  Therefore because he is such a warrior, he won’t be competing tonight.  Cena knew this would happen, so he is going to get his hands on Edge.  Vickie stops him and says that since Cena is here tonight, he will face the Big Show.

Carlito telegraphs Morrison and gets a two count in the process.  Morrison is at the wrong corner and Primo gets in on the action.  Pin attempt following a shoulder thrust gets two and a quarter.  Morrison tries to fight back and we go pillar to post.  Primo nails a hurrancurana for two and Carlito tags in.  Morrison gets double teamed and Carlito gets two.  Chinlock is applied and the Bella Twins have made their way out to ringside.  Morrison sends Carlito to the corner and Carlito plays possum.  Morrison gets tossed outside as does Miz.  Plancha by Carlito and all hell breaks loose on the outside.  Commercials upcoming!

We’re back and Carlito tags in Primo.  Double team gets a two count for Primo.  Morrison comes back with a jawbreaker.  Primo gets sent to the heel corner and he evades the double team. Morrison sends Primo out of the ring and Miz takes the cake for a moment.  Morrison gets two following that exchange.  Tag to the Miz and they hang Primo out to dry for two and a half.  Clubbing blows to the head connect on Primo.  Miz locks in the camel clutch, but Primo gets out of the move.  He evades a clothesline for a rollup and that gets two.  Miz charges to the corner and he connects.  Follow up pin attempt gets two and Miz locks in a rear naked choke.  Primo gets to a vertical base and he gets out of the move.  He’s sent to the heel corner, but he fights out of it.  Mis shoves Primo to the ropes, connecting with Morrison, sending him outside.  Both men collide after that and they are down.  Morrison and Carlito get tagged in and Carlito hits the lefts.  HUGE SPINEBUSTER GETS A TWO FOR CARLITO!  Running knee lift connects to Morrison and he takes out Miz.  This allows Morrison to counter a suplex for 2.9996!  Carlito is back up and gets sent to the ropes.  Carlito looks for a springboard, but gets his neck snapped off the ropes!  Primo takes out Miz and Morrison looks for the Moonlight Drive…COUNTER TO THE BACKSTABBER!  Uno, Dos, Adios!

Vladimir Koslov v. The Undertaker

The bell sounds and they inch closer to the center of the ring.  They lock up and Koslov gets a side headlock on Taker.  Taker is down to a knee, but he sends Koslov to the ropes.  Down goes Taker for a second.  They lock up again and Koslov continues the offense.  Taker sends Koslov to the ropes and Koslov takes Taker down again.  Koslov walks into a big boot!  Taker goes for a leg drop, but Koslov moves out of the way.  He sends Taker to the outside, but he lands on his feet.  Koslov looks confused as we go to break.

We’re back as Taker drops the leg on Koslov on the apron!  During the break, Taker gets abused by Koslov, but it took a crack in the cranium to give Taker control.  Koslov runs at Taker and gets clotheslined for two.  Koslov takes control and he beats the hell out of Taker.  Koslov thrusts away in the corner.  Taker plays role reversal, but he eats a clothesline for two.  Koslov locks on a chinlock, driving the air out of Taker.  Taker tries to get up to a vertical base, but Koslov tightens the hold.  Taker tries again and he is up.  Taker counters with a waist lock/suplex combo!  They brawl in the center of the ring.  DDT TO KOSLOV!  Taker rolls to a cover and gets two.  Taker squashes Koslov in the corner.  Corner to corner we go and he does it again!  Taker goes for Snake Eyes and follows with a big boot!  He drops the leg and scores a two count!  Taker sets up for the Chokeslam, but Koslov headbutts his way out of it.  Taker gets a kick and a two count.  Taker goes Old School…KOSLOV REVERSES TO A POWERSLAM AND THAT IS ALL!

We’re back and it’s time to settle this confrontation!

Matt Hardy v. Jeff Hardy

Matt is ready to compete, but Jeff is in his street clothes.  Jeff grabs a microphone and he says how they always helped each other out.  He hopes Matt can get out of the crazy phase.  He won’t fight him tonight.  Like it or not, they are brothers.  Matt takes the microphone and he denies being his brother.  It’s not simple for Matt getting over “it”.  Everything revolves around Jeff, and this is not about Jeff – but it’s about Matt.  Matt is pissed off because the fans cheer for Jeff.  He’s angry because he had a medicore career and Jeff’s career skyrocketed.  Matt drops the bombshell that he was always the more talented one.  Matt blames Jeff and the fans for this.  He beckons Jeff to fight him.  Matt slaps Jeff silly twice.  Jeff takes and he leaves the ring, being the bigger man.  The fans voice their approval and he basically tells Matt to deal with it.

No Match.

Cena v. Big Show…TONIGHT!

Chavo gets set up in the corner and Benjamin misses the Stinger Splash.  Chavo goes for the Three Amigos, but Benjamin counters the third one.  Hurrancurana by Guerrero and he goes up top…Benjamin meets him up top and he snap suplexes him off.  Chavo rolls to the outside and Benjamin follows.  He stares at MVP before POWERBOMBING CHAVO ONTO MVP’S LAP!  Chavo gets rolled inside the ring and Benjamin follows.  Chavo counters the Paydirt with an unique roll up…THAT GETS THREE!

Commercials.

The bell sounds as we come back from break.  Cena circles Show and he dodges a right hand.  They jockey for position and Show comes at him with the rights and lefts in the corner.  Headbutt connects and Show is dominating in the opening minute.  Cena gets in the corner and Show nails a chop.  Show targets the kidney area and he goes for another chop, but Cena turns the tables.  Cena takes it to Show and nails a tackle…but Show remains standing.  Cena goes for it again and he gets shoulderblocked for his troubles.  Headbutt connects and Cena is dazed.  Another headbutt sends Cena down.  Cena tries to get up, but the headbutt takes him down.  Cena comes back with several haymakers, but he runs into a sidewalk slam!  Cena uses the ropes for leverage, but Show has him hung out to dry and he nails several punches of his own.  Show toys around and Cena goes for the Double A…foolishly.  Show hits another headbutt and I’m slowly losing my interest in this match.

Corner to Corner we go and Cena hits the turnbuckle hard.  Opposite corner Cena goes and down he goes…hard once again.  Again Show does it and Cena just won’t give up.  Show charges and Cena locks on a sleeper hold.  Show tries to get out of it, but he drops to a knee.  Show pumps his hips and he suplexes himself out of it.
