PWI’s Mike Johnson is reporting that Tito Santana, Nick Bockwinkel, Torrie Wilson, and Ron Simmons are set to appear for WWE during Wrestlemania weekend after cancelling their appearance at the Booker T. promoted “Legends of Wrestling Fanfest” convention. The convention is set to take place on the Friday of Wrestlemania weekend. Booker’s promoting it in association with his charity, Booker T.’s Fight For Kids Foundation.
Sid Viscious has also pulled out of the convention. No word on whether this means he’s getting the tryout match with WWE he’s been looking for for 18 months.
According to Johnson, WWE contacted the talent appearing at the show after their appearances were announced and booked them for WWE events instead (including Axxxess and the Hall of Fame ceremonies), specifically asking them not to go to Booker’s convention.
