Scott Wolf Joins ABC's V Cast

News

ABC’s V remake has found its first cast member, while a pair of comedies at the network have added Julie Bowen and Jonathan Silverman to their rosters.

Scott Wolf will star in V, which is based on the 1980s NBC series about alien “visitors” land on Earth and, after initially seeming friendly, start to take over the world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’ll play a newscaster who sees the alien landing as the ticket to stardom and soon becomes the visitors’ mouthpiece.

Wolf’s last regular TV role was also at ABC, as part of the ensemble of The Nine in 2006-07. The former Party of Five star was also a regular on Everwood and guested on CSI: NY earlier this season.

On the comedy side, Bowen (Boston Legal) has joined My American Family, a documentary-style show that follows three couples. She’ll play the mother of a traditional family, who’s married to Ty Burrell; the cast also includes Ed O’Neill and Sofia Vergara as a May-December couple and Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet as a gay couple.

As for Silverman, the former Single Guy will play a married guy in the comedy from Strauss, a veteran of All of Us and Friends. The show revolves around three couples with varying viewpoints on relationships and kids.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
