UFC 99 was officially announced yesterday at a press conference in Cologne, Germany.
The show, subtitled The Comeback, will feature a main event catchweight fight between Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva. The fight will be contested at 195 pounds, the mid-way point between Franklin’s light heavyweight division and Silva’s new home in the middleweight division.
Other rumored bouts include Caol Uno vs. Spencer Fisher, Cain Velasquez vs. Heath Herring, and the returning Mirko Cro Cop taking on an unnamed opponent.
