Latest on WWE’s WrestleMania Plans for Jericho & Legends

News

The latest on WWE’s plans for Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 25 is that they want a series of legends sitting in the front row during his match. These will include Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat and Jimmy Snuka, as well as Mickey Rourke and others, which are rumoured to include Greg Valentine and Honky Tonk Man. Flair is thought to have some reservations about being perceived as just another legend in the crowd but he is still going to be involved with the angle somehow. Hulk Hogan is unlikely to be involved, however. In addition to his health issues, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were both upset at comments Hogan made on a recent episode of the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show. Hogan spoke about how Vince McMahon had been upset with him for his celebrity wrestling show exposing the business, saying that it was not as bad as Vince always making his son-in-law the champion. Flair, who gets along with Hogan these days, has unsurprisingly taken the McMahons’ side in this dispute and stated in specific that he will not be at ringside to watch a Hogan/Jericho match.
