Want to know when your most anticipated upcoming releases are hitting theatres?

Disney has set a July 16, 2010, release date for the Jerry Bruckheimer produced family adventure The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Also on Thursday, Warner Bros. made additions and changes to its 2009 calendar. They will open James McTeigue's Ninja Assassin, instead of horror film The Box, on Nov. 25, with The Box now bowing Oct. 30. Open a horror film the day before Halloween? Good call. The studio originally intended to open Ninja in 2010.

The announcement of the Sorcerer's Apprentice release date gives the Mouse House three event pictures for the 2010 summer. The other two being Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (May 28) and the much anticipated Toy Story 3 (July 18).

Jon Turteltaub is directing the live-action film, based on the famed Sorcerer's Apprentice segment in Disney's Fantasia. It is set to star Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel. Filming begins this month.

Disney also said it is moving back this year's release of the Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds romantic comedy The Proposal from June 12 to June 19 which.
