Kevin Dunn, the executive VP of marketing for WWE, was recently interviewed by Variety magazine, which did a huge special report on WrestleMania 25 this week.Â In the article he discusses the strengths of WWE television ratings and the appeal these ratings have for cable networks.
Within the artice Dunn mentions an upcoming change to the ECW brand:
“For example, Dunn says WWE is working closely with marketing, development and creative execs at Sci Fi to develop a rebranding plan for ECW.”
What this will mean for ECW is unknown at this time.Â The Sci Fi channel recently announced its own rebranding and the channel will soon be known as “syfy”.
