Charles City’s own Susie Smith, who finished as runner-up in Survivor: Gabon — Earth’s Last Eden last season, has organized a fundraising event to benefit the Charles City High School Marching Band and asked a few of her fellow Survivors to help out — winner Bob Crowley, Jessica “Sugar” Kiper, Matty Whitmore, Kenny Hoang and Crystal Cox.
The final 6 will speak at Charles City High School on Saturday, May 2 starting at 4 p.m. Their goal will be to help raise enough money to replace the band’s aging trailer that hauls their instruments, uniforms and equipment to various competitions.
In addition to presentations from all six Survivors, a number of items will be available on a silent auction and raffle with proceeds going to the band’s trailer fund.
Tickets are on sale now! General admission tickets are $10 each in advance and $12 at the door. 200 VIP Tickets are available for $25 each and include a meet & greet after the show. Get your tickets at the Charles City Chamber (401 N Main St.) or call 641-228-4234.
