PWI’s Dave Scherer reports the following about Tazz leaving WWE:
Tazz gave notice weeks ago. He was seen saying goodbye to Shane and Stephanie at the tapings yesterday, but Scherer can’t verify whether he met with Vince. He speculates that Vince’s tendency to get on announcers may be a factor, but again can’t verify that.
Tazz’s contract expires today and there had been negotiatons on a new one, but he decided to leave instead. So, this doesn’t count as a “future endeavored” situation.
Finally, according to Scherer, he offered to do Wrestlemania so as not to leave WWE “in the lurch” scrambling for a replacement. No news yet on whether he’ll be calling the show or if he’ll be replaced.
