– Jim Ross and Todd Grisham are the announcers. Josh Matthews and Matt Striker cover ECW.
– Matt Hardy demands an apology from Jeff Hardy, or else. Jeff comes out and attacks Matt, who flees to the back. New Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long announces a Stretcher Match between the two for later.
– Big Show squashes Kofi Kingston and eats his sandwich.
– The Great Gary beats Santino Marella. Santino issued an open challenge for any wrestler in the back. Gary said, through the interpreter, that he can’t quit thinking about Santina, so he wants to either kiss her or fight Santino. Disturbing. Santino declines to Gary demands the match instead.
– Gail Kim beats Michelle McCool.
– John Cena is the guest on the Cutting Edge. He challenges Edge to hit him but then walks away. Teddy Long announces they will fight for the title tonight.
– Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase win a damn match by beating Carlito & Primo Colon. The titles were not on the line.
– Randy Orton cuts a promo for Backlash.
– Matt Hardy beats Jeff Hardy in a Stretcher Match. Jeff missed a swanton and landed on the stretcher, so Matt hit him with a chair and rolled him over the finish line at the top of the ramp for the win.
– John Cena beats Edge to retain the World Heavyweight Title.
