Dragon Gate has announced that they are preparing to begin touring the United States at yesterday’s Korakuen Hall show. In an unexpected move, they announced the formation of Dragon Gate USA with Satoshi Oji as the President and Vice President Gabe Sapolsky.
Current plans are to run a show at the former ECW Arena on July 25 with CIMA, Dragon Kid, Masato Yoshino, and Naruki Doi already scheduled to appear. Shows will occur every other month and the next will be Labor Day weekend in Chicago.
Dragon Gate wrestlers have appeared for other promotions in the past such as Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and TNA, but this is the first time the actual company has toured the United States.
