Tazz On WWECW, Heyman; Bret On Montreal, Shawn

News

Taz is answering fan questions on his Facebook page. Here are some highlights:

On the new ECW Title (and WWE’s ECW in general)- I hate it. To compare what I held to that MONSTROUS HUNK OF SILVER they have is comical….but hey, at least its consistent what everything else in comparing the original ECW to WWE version of ECW…..there is NO comparison at all. Just change the name to anything but ECW and it will be a pretty cool 60mins. But at times, I guess some must attempt to re-write history in in their own eyes.

On Paul Heyman giving him his first big break- Paul believe in me way before ECW. For a very short time in around 1989’ish Paul was the booker for IWCCW (Salvoldi territory out of N.J.) and Paul wanted to push me and Salvoldis didn’t want that because they were mad at me for me walking out before a show in Upstate NY many months prior to Paul coming in as book.

Also, does he think WWE used him properly as a wrestler?- A- NO.

He also talks about his favorite suplex, being a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan (must have made hanging out with J.R. fun), and Bill Alphonso’s whistle.

Sky Sports’s Ron Dannatt has an interview with Bret Hart, which covers a lot of ground, including Montreal and Shawn Michaels. Bret says he’s finally over being bitter about the whole thing. Inducting Shawn in the Hall of Fame is a different story, though, as Bret has some preconditions there:

Bret laughs and leans back as he quips: “Maybe if he wants to make himself feel better about it he should have the guts to pick up the phone and apologise. Then we’ll see after that.”

He also talks about Summerslam ’92 (the Wembley Stadium show where he carried Bulldog to an epic match) and Owen’s death, as well as the possibility of Brad Pitt playing him in a biopic.
