Yushin Okami Out of UFC 98

News

Poor, poor Yushin Okami. Despite being the logical number one contender for Anderson Silva’s middleweight championship, Okami hasn’t come anywhere close to actually getting a title shot. 95% of that can be blamed on the fact that Okami isn’t a draw and doesn’t have the most exciting style in the world.

Okami was scheduled to face Dan Miller at UFC 98 in May, but not any more; he’s been forced to withdraw from the bout due to a leg injury. Ed Herman has agreed to replace Okami against Miller.
