Trust Me's Monica Potter Tackles Parenthood

News

Peter Krause is getting a new wife in the NBC drama pilot Parenthood.

Monica Potter, who’s coming off TNT’s Trust Me, has been cast as Krause’s spouse in the update of the 1989 film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She takes the place of Diane Farr, who had to drop out because of a schedule conflict with her role on Showtime’s Californication.

Bonnie Bedelia and Sam Jaeger have also joined the Parenthood cast, while at CBS, Josh Lawson has been added to the comedy Waiting to Die.

Parenthood will follow the lives of four siblings (Krause, Maura Tierney, Erika Christensen and Dax Shepard) and their families. Bedelia (The Division, Die Hard) and Craig T. Nelson are playing their parents. Jaeger, who co-starred in ABC’s Eli Stone, will play Christensen’s husband, a stay-at-home dad.

Potter’s credits also include Boston Legal and The Last House on the Left.

At CBS, Australian actor Lawson has taken one of the lead roles in Waiting to Die as a guy who, along with his best friend (T.J. Miller), is pretty happy with his lowly station in life. Lawson takes over the role from Nick Thune.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
